Our Services

The Nashville Geek provides residential and small business technology services across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, including but not limited to:

  • Virus and malware removal
  • WiFi and home networking setup and optimization
  • Smart home and security camera installation
  • Custom PC builds and hardware upgrades
  • Business IT support and managed services
  • One-on-one technology training and classes
  • Website design and SEO services

We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion, including requests that fall outside our areas of expertise or that we determine cannot be completed to a satisfactory standard.

Appointments & On-Site Visits

When you book an on-site appointment, you agree to the following:

  • Access — you will provide reasonable access to the devices, network equipment, or areas of your home or business necessary for us to complete the work.
  • Cancellations — please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Last-minute cancellations (under 2 hours notice) may be subject to a call-out fee.
  • Safe environment — our technicians have the right to refuse or stop work if they feel unsafe or if conditions are unsuitable.
  • Authorisation — by booking a service, you confirm you are the owner of the equipment or have the authority to authorise work on it.

Same-day and emergency appointments are available subject to technician availability. We will always do our best to accommodate urgent requests.

Payment & Pricing

All pricing is communicated clearly before any work begins. We do not start work without your agreement on cost.

  • Quotes — estimates provided over the phone are indicative. A firm quote will be given on-site once we have diagnosed the issue.
  • Payment — payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major digital payment platforms.
  • Parts & materials — any hardware, parts, or third-party software required for the job will be discussed and agreed with you in advance. These costs are in addition to labour fees.
  • Managed service plans — flat-rate monthly plans are billed in advance. No long-term contracts are required; you may cancel at any time with 30 days notice.

We do not store your payment details on this website. All transactions are handled through trusted third-party payment platforms.

Limitation of Liability

We take every reasonable precaution when working on your devices and equipment. However, technology work carries inherent risks. By engaging our services, you acknowledge the following:

  • Data loss — we strongly recommend backing up all data before any repair or service work. We are not responsible for data loss that occurs during or after a service, unless caused directly by our negligence.
  • Pre-existing conditions — we are not liable for damage or failure caused by pre-existing faults, age-related wear, or conditions that existed before we started work.
  • Third-party software — we are not responsible for issues caused by third-party software, operating system updates, or manufacturer defects after our service is complete.
  • Consequential loss — we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use your technology.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount paid for that specific service.

During the course of providing services, our technicians may need to access your device, files, or accounts. We treat all customer data with strict confidentiality. Specifically:

  • We only access files, folders, or accounts that are necessary to complete the job
  • We do not copy, store, or share any personal data found on your devices
  • We do not retain passwords or login credentials after a job is completed
  • Any data viewed incidentally during a service is treated as strictly confidential
